Good Morning Parents, Students, Staff, and Friends of Sanborn Regional High School: We have finally arrived at our first official week of school! Here are your important announcements for the week: 1. Within the last two weeks, you should have received your child's official "back to school packet" from the school with forms that must be completed for the first day. I have attached this information to this email. Freshman will receive their schedules on their first day of school and we have reserved PLENTY of time to work with them to make sure they have any schedule adjustments made that they need so they can have a successful school year. 2. IMPORTANT: All students MUST bring a completed emergency form, signed by a parent or guardian, with them on the first day of school. Students who are participating in athletics must have this form submitted before summer practices start. We are also asking all students who are applying for a parking permit to submi...

The letter will also contain PIV Pinnacle log in information and information about how to obtain a parking pass. 2. Last week, I received a letter from the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association with news that I am very excited to share with all of you. This fall, our school will be receiving the NHIAA / National Federation of State High School Associations Award of Excellence for Outstanding Sportsmanship. Sanborn Regional High School had a very successful 2011-2012 school year in which it was recognized at local, state, and national levels for its work in school redesign for the twenty-first century. As an expansion to the district’s “top ten percent” goal, the school strives to become one of the premiere high schools in the State of New Hampshire and beyond. To achieve this, the school has developed a master plan for redesign that is based on three pillars for success. Dear Parents, Students, Staff, and Friends of Sanborn Regional High School, I hope you are enjoying the “dog days of summer”. Tomorrow it looks like we might finally get a break from this hazy and hot weather. Summer Update At Sanborn, we the administrators (Ann Hadwen, Michelle Catena, Vicki Parady-Guay, Michael Turmelle, and I) have been busy preparing for the start of another fantastic year. Here is an update on how we have spent our summer: At the end of June, we shared some of the work of our Freshman Learning Community model with administrators from around the State at a regional conference up in the White Mountains. We also had four different teams of teachers who spent some time working together on various projects: This included the FLC, Sophomore Teachers, Math Teachers, and an Anti-Bullying summit.
